University days are over and with them are long gone the days when you were careless and responsible for nothing. You have entered a new phase in life and tomorrow is the first day of it. You are worried about how it will go, but preparing well for it can facilitate you with a smooth transition as you step into your office life.
It is obvious that you may be worried about the first. You know that the first impression is the last impression and you don’t want to make a mistake in making a good first impression in front of the whole office. This worry might have grasped your heart and it might be racing faster than a Ferrari but then, that’s not something, which is going to help you. In fact, there are chances of you making mistakes due to this panic. So, clam down and relax.
Start your preparations with the dress that you are going to wear to your office on the first day. There may be many options and you will take time to boil down to the best choice, so take up this job at night. Choose the dress that suits the organisation’s dress code. Iron it and keep it ready for the morning.
Again this is something that you need to do at night. The best thing to carry for your lunch on your very first day is something that is not perishable. The reason being, you don’t know what is waiting for you on your first day. May be you would be required to go out with your colleagues for lunch on your first day it self; you just don’t know what is on your way. So, to prepare for this, pack something that is non-perishable for lunch.
You must have done this by now; if not, then go ahead and read something about the place you are going to work in so that you are prepared to answer anything that is asked to you by your seniors, regarding the company.
This sounds weird but is vital. Read newspaper and get to know some current topics so that if anyone happens to strike a conversation with you regarding the current happenings in the country or city, you are equipped to take the conversation forward.
You don’t want your health in bad condition on the first day of your office. So, eat right; basically eat things that are healthy and wont affect your health adversely.
Consider all the belongings that you will need for your day and put them in the bag. Ready your bag so that you are not involved in that haste in morning when you are focusing on getting ready for your first day at the office.
Being punctual is the key to mark your impression right. So, oversleeping is not at all an option. Set an alarm to wake up on time. If, you think one alarm warning wont help you then feel free to set 5-6 alarms, each at the interval of 2 minutes; you will be up eventually.
If you want to wake up soon, you better sleep soon. Keep you phone away, shut down the laptop and go to bed. Have sweet dreams sleep tight, as you have a big day tomorrow.
